Text message opt-outs and compliance
The following is an overview of how our text message compliance works.
Campaigns:
When mass text messages are sent via a campaign. Those messages are considered to be machine based sends and with those texts we complie with FCC guidelines. We handle all management of opting out your leads from recieving your texts if they choose. When a text is sent via a campaign we append to the end of every text the following:
“Not interested in getting my txt messages anymore? txt “STOP””
If your lead replies using the word “STOP” our system will automatically unsubscribe them from receiving any further texts from the system both from campaigns or you send personally. Please note If your lead has opted out in error please contact support and we can resubscribe them again.
Personal texts or text templates:
When you send a one-to-one text by either using one of your templates or crafting a new message this is not considered a machine based text send. This is no different then you using your cell phone to text a lead. We are not required to append the above opt-out language. Your text will be sent like a normal text, however if your lead was to reply to your personal text with the word “STOP” our system would still unsubscribe them from recieving texts from your account.
