MDC DOT’s integration with BriteVerify allows us to confirm that every email address added to your account is a live, working email address.
Before a lead is added to your account, we validate the email address first. If we get a response that the email address is bad, the lead is rejected. After your leads have been processed, you receive an email notification with an attached list of rejected leads. This process allows us to help protect your email sending reputation and your organization’s overall email deliverability rates.
If you feel that a valid email address was rejected, you can check the rejected email addresses here or here.
Listed below are the different response codes for when an email address is accepted or rejected, followed by a description.
verified | Mailbox exists, is reachable, and not known to be illegitimate or disposable. |
disposable | Domain is administered by disposable email provider (e.g. Mailinator). |
unreachable | Domain does not exist or has no reachable mail exchangers (see discussion, below). |
illegitimate | Seed, spamtrap, black hole, technical role account or inactive domain. |
undeliverable | Mailbox does not exist, or mailbox is full, suspended or disabled. |
unknown | We were unable to conclusively verify or invalidate this address. |
